The Colosseum featured a tense pitchers' duel.

The Rome Generals faced a tough opponent in Cairo pitcher Damien Duval, but did just enough to pull out the victory at The Colosseum by a final score of 1-0. Duval went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Roberto Lugo was called on to finish, recording his 8th save.

Frantz Wilhelm, who is tied for 10th in the IBL in hits with 30, took Cairo hurler Héctor Leal deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Generals on top, 1-0. In all, Wilhelm had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Both teams played hard," said Rome manager Tx Horns.

The Pharaohs drop to 12-13 and continue their mediocre start to the 2155 season.
