Shih-k'ai Tseng, who finished 3rd in the ABL in ERA with 3.09 last year, propelled his team to victory over the Karachi Falcons. The final score was 4-2, Rome. The winner was Tseng. He threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Folco Maini. Lúcio Caso earned the save, his 7th.

In the bottom of the third inning, the Generals grabbed the lead when Badal Unmesh rapped a two-out single. Rome was trailing 1-0, when Unmesh hit a 2-run single off Folco Maini to put his team in front, 2-1.

"I'm happy we won," said Tseng. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."

The defeat makes the Falcons 9-16.
