The Tokyo Fitzies downed the Daegu Monks, 5-4, at Fitzies Stadium. The Fitzies were led by José Villa. Villa hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The defeat makes Daegu 13-14.
Villa had a timely hit for Tokyo in the bottom of the eighth. With Tokyo trailing 4-3, he turned a 2-0 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Tokyo.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Daegu manager R Beadle. "The effort was great."
