Stars Win at El Paso, 10-6

Thunderdome was the site for Americas Baseball League action featuring the El Paso Thunderbirds and Los Angeles Stars.
Though he had a terrific game, Johan Alcova could not prevent his team, the El Paso Thunderbirds, from absorbing a loss. Los Angeles won the game, 10-6. Alcova was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Los Angeles starter Daniel Tejano was credited with the win after throwing 111 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-0.
Charles Moody went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Los Angeles. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a 2-run single off Xiao-xuan Wu. It was his 14th hit of the season.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Moody.
El Paso is 17-11 after the loss.
