Voyageurs Turn Back Generals, 3-1
|
The Oslo Voyageurs went home winners at OsloDome, thanks in large part to starter Yoshifusa Hasegawa. Hasegawa stifled the Rome Generals, enabling Oslo to grab the 3-1 win. Cosmo Laureano earned the save for Oslo, his 8th. The Voyageurs, now 24-4, have had a terrific start to the season.
Cal Givens, who led the IBL in OPS with 1.075 last year, chipped in a 3-run home run for Oslo in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I like our mindset right now," said Oslo manager Marq Ualler.
