The Karachi Falcons earned a close win over the Beijing Emperors, thanks in part to Susumu Okamoto. The Karachi right-hander, who is tied for 10th in the IBL in innings pitched with 41.0, played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-2 victory. Karachi pitcher Rudolf Wojcik got the win. He's now 2-0. Octávio Díaz was tagged with the loss. The Falcons have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 10th win in 29 games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Clarence Castle in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a run-scoring double off three-time All-Star Octávio Díaz to win the game for Karachi. The home crowd went nuts.

"I believe in our guys," said Karachi skipper Slu Baseball. "I like the energy they're playing with."
