Fleur-de-Lis Get Past Rome for 5-4 Win
|
Paris beat Rome at Stade de France, eking out a 5-4 win. The triumph was primarily due to right fielder Terry Humphries. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Paris reliever Violante Boua picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Roberto Lugo absorbed the loss. With the loss, Rome sinks to 13-17.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Humphries hit a fastball from Roberto Lugo for a run-scoring single. The Fleur-de-Lis, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Humphries said.
