Le Floch Holds Daegu Scoreless
|
The Daegu Monks manager was philosophical in the clubhouse following a shutout loss to the Tokyo Fitzies. The Monks were overpowered by Tokyo starter Gustave Le Floch, who hurled his club to victory, 5-0.
"It was just one of those games -- shake it off and do better next time," R Beadle said.
Over 9 innings, Le Floch blanked Daegu on 2 hits with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts.
"I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs because they were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Le Floch said.
"I set them up, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one."
In 5 starts this year, Le Floch has recorded a 3-0 record and a 2.50 ERA.
