5-2 Win Takes Emperors to 21-10
|
The Beijing Emperors rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Tse-peng Huang to a win, beating the Tokyo Fitzies, 5-2, at Fitzies Stadium. Gia-Long Hoang closed the game out for Beijing, earning his 2nd save. Beijing is off to a hot start at 21-10.
Serafim Bexiga hit a bases-clearing triple off Mathias Lefort in the top of the second, which put the Emperors in front, 3-0. In addition to the triple, Bexiga had 2 singles and 1 walk, while going 3 for 4.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bexiga told the Beijing News.
