John Collier had an impressive outing at Monks Stadium, hurling the Rome Generals to a 6-0 shutout victory over the Daegu Monks.

"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Daegu skipper R Beadle said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."

On the day, the left-handed Collier yielded 8 hits and tallied 5 strikeouts with no walks.

Collier has gone 1-1 this season with an ERA of 2.38 and 23 strikeouts in 34 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .238 against him.
