Dolphins Take Tight Tango, 3-2
|
The Havana Dolphins had to overcome a fine effort from Sao Paulo pitcher Alfonso Vásquez to win, 3-2, at El Estadio Latinoamericano. Vásquez went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. Kwan-yew Lei, 1-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. Havana is now 19-13, Sao Paulo 13-19.
Mo Lam delivered a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the tenth to win it for the Dolphins. For the game, Lam drove in one run.
Lam called it "a solid win."
