Puerto Rico right fielder Kamasrama Shourov was instrumental in helping the Coqui triumph, 5-3, over the El Paso Thunderbirds. Shourov was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Puerto Rico is now 20-12, El Paso 15-17.

With Puerto Rico leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Shourov hit a fastball from Alfonso Osequedo for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Coqui ahead, 4-0.

Puerto Rico manager Kir By was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
