Loss to Generals Extends Daegu Losing Streak
Starting pitcher Carlos Rúbio gave the Rome Generals a rock-solid effort. The Cabimas, Venezuela native helped his team defeat the Daegu Monks, 3-1, at Monks Stadium. The Generals improved their record to 15-17 by beating Daegu.

Aleksander Vika, who finished 4th in the IBL in on-base percentage with .423 in 2148, had a direct impact on the outcome. Vika contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Rome up, 3-0.

Rúbio called the win "an overall solid one."
