Jaguars Even Record with 3-1 Victory
|
Murtadi bin Jabbar pitched a dandy of a game to help the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars beat the Havana Dolphins, 3-1. Luis Gutiérrez earned save number 8 this season. With the win, Rio de Janeiro has a record of 17-17. Havana falls to 19-15.
The Jaguars got a big at-bat from center fielder Naruhiko Goto. For the game, Goto went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Rio de Janeiro a 2-0 lead.
"Murtadi made some big pitches when he needed to," said Jaguars manager Echo 127.
