A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Mexico City Aztecs and El Paso Thunderbirds.

Mexico City pitcher Jesús Flores had a large part in his team subduing the El Paso Thunderbirds, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Mexico City is now 24-11, 5 games up in the Americas Baseball League North American Division.

Flores gave Mexico City a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.

"It was a good effort all around," said Flores.
