Generals Suffer 5-2 Home Defeat
|
The Black Forest Foxes called upon starter António Colón, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Rome Generals, 5-2. Wilson Rodríguez earned save number 8 this season. Today's win puts Black Forest at 15-20, while Rome falls to 17-18.
Black Forest used a clutch at-bat from Ewan Brouard to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Foxes ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Tx Horns.
