Blue Gills Rally to Nose Past Los Angeles
The Detroit Blue Gills handed the Los Angeles Stars a 4-3 defeat at Field of the Stars. Right Fielder Jesús Aguilera starred for Detroit. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Detroit reliever Osman Sumbatashvili picked up the win to move to 1-1. Clodio Castanhedo suffered the loss. Detroit, with the win, climbs to 12-24.

Aguilera had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-1 changeup from Clodio Castanhedo, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Blue Gills a 4-3 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Aguilera.

"These kind of wins can be so good for a club's psyche," Detroit manager El Weston said.
