Ethan Vergette, who finished 2nd in the IBL in innings pitched with 238.2 in 2146, pitched well, but the Daegu Monks still fell short, losing, 4-2, to the Melbourne Meteors at Monks Stadium. Picking up the win was Aaron Miller. He went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 10 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. Their 40-43 record puts the Meteors third in the Intercontinental Baseball League Asian Division.

Melbourne used the hitting of Sundaram Sanghi to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Meteors on top, 3-0. For the game, Sanghi had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

After the game, Melbourne manager Bob Meteors applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
