The Los Angeles Stars picked up a win at Beefs Stadium, courtesy of Octávio Díaz. The right-hander helped his team stop the Chicago Beefs, 2-0. The winner was Díaz. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Yoshitoshi Murata. Clodio Castanhedo recorded his 17th save for Los Angeles.

Junji Yoshino, who finished 5th in the ABL in hits with 190 in 2149, had a direct impact on the outcome. Yoshino contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Los Angeles up, 1-0.
