Foxes Upend Fleur-de-Lis, 3-1
|
The umbrellas came out during the Black Forest-Paris contest at Stade de France.
The Black Forest Foxes cut down the Paris Fleur-de-Lis by the score of 3-1, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Manoo Keshava. Keshava was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Foxes. António Colón got the win, improving to 8-4. He held the Fleur-de-Lis to 1 run on 3 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3. Reda Basim picked up the save for Black Forest, his 1st of the year.
Keshava contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Black Forest in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Keshava took a changeup from Abdur Razzaq Marwat and stroked the home run to center. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Foxes to leap in front, 3-1.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Keshava said.
The win puts the Foxes at 41-44, while the Fleur-de-Lis drop to 37-48.
