Chicago Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
The Mexico City Aztecs picked up a win at Beefs Stadium, defeating the Chicago Beefs, 1-0. Starting pitcher John Collier was an essential part of his team's success. With the win, the Aztecs hiked their record to 21-15.
Urtilan Cheromei, who finished 4th in the ABL in doubles with 44 in 2149, had a direct impact on the outcome. Cheromei contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Mexico City up, 1-0.
"We leaned on our pitching tonight," Collier said.
