Sao Paulo right-hander Øivind Ulland pitched his team to victory over the Santo Domingo Palmchats at Estadio Santo Domingo. The final score was 6-3. Takuji Mochizuki picked up the save for Sao Paulo, his 4th of the year. Sao Paulo, now 43-43, holds down 4th place in the Americas Baseball League Latin American Division.

Sao Paulo used a well-timed hit by Rubén Ramos to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Toucans ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Ramos called the win "a collective effort."
