Dolphins Come Up Short at Rio de Janeiro, 6-5
Starting pitcher Jhong-shun Lee pitched well enough to help the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars beat the Havana Dolphins, 6-5. With the win, Rio de Janeiro pushed its record to 18-18.

Rio de Janeiro took a 6-5 lead on Naruhiko Goto's 8th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Goto hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Havana pitcher Enrique Cordero visibly frustrated.

"You can never predict what'll happen," Goto said. "That's why you play the game."
