All went well for Mariano Ochoa of the Mexico City Aztecs as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 8-0, over the Los Angeles Stars, limiting them to 4 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Ochoa on the day.

"Mariano's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Aztecs manager Square Drive. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Mexico City right-hander rang up 8 and surrendered 1 walk.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Stars manager Alex G. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
