At Ballpark of San Juan, the Santo Domingo Palmchats and Puerto Rico Coqui were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Puerto Rico Coqui starter Wendel Lippelt worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Santo Domingo Palmchats, 4-1. Lippelt picked up the win for Puerto Rico, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 7-5. Igoryok Faktorovich nailed down his 21st save.

Samir bin Umar went 1-3 with a double for Puerto Rico. The 25-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Kent Martin. It was his 25th RBI of the season.

"Makes our job easier," said bin Umar, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."

The Coqui win now puts them at 48-41.
