Coqui Get Extra-Inning, 3-2 Win

The Puerto Rico Coqui did just enough to nip the Santo Domingo Palmchats, 3-2, in 13 innings. Puerto Rico pitcher Awinagh Ezeamaka, in particular, had a standout performance. The winner in relief was Chong-sik Kyung. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-4. The victory gives Puerto Rico a record of 49-41.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the 13th for Puerto Rico. That's when Ayman bin Moosa hit a solo home run off three-time All-Star Alberto López to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Puerto Rico manager Kir By said.
