The Rio de Janeiro Jaguars earned a win at Rio de Janeiro Grounds, stopping the Puerto Rico Coqui, 4-2. Starting pitcher Javier Villegas played a big role in his team's success. With the win, Rio de Janeiro pushed its record to 51-41.

The Jaguars got a big at-bat from first baseman Leo Brooks. For the game, Brooks went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 23rd home run of the season gave Rio de Janeiro a 3-0 lead.

"Javier had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Rio de Janeiro manager Echo 127.
