Aztecs Earn Win with Late Rally
The El Paso Thunderbirds got a superb performance from pitcher Xiao-xuan Wu, but the Mexico City Aztecs still won the game, 2-1. Wu threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. Yeo-san Cho snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Qian-fu Jiang suffered the loss. After today's action, Mexico City sits at 22-15; El Paso slips to 23-14.

Piotr Westmann was the walk-off hero for Mexico City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aztecs pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Bottom line," said El Paso skipper AP MP, "we didn't play well enough to win."
