The Mexico City Aztecs defeated the Havana Dolphins, 9-5, at Ballpark of Mexico City. Kendrick Sanders produced 2 singles and 2 doubles, while scoring 1 run and driving in 4. Mexico City starter Jesús Flores was credited with the win after throwing 109 pitches over 7.1 innings. His record now stands at 10-2. Abracham Layar, who is tied for 8th in the ABL in holds with 8, nailed down the save.

Miguel Ramos had a big 2-run home run for the Aztecs in the bottom of the first inning. With Mexico City leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Yoshifusa Hasegawa, who finished 5th in the ABL in wins with 12 in 2141, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Aztecs on top, 3-0.

"I like our mindset right now," said Mexico City manager Square Drive.

With the victory, the Aztecs record stands at 62-38.
