Multi-HR Game for Virinchi in 8-4 Win
The Tokyo Fitzies beat the Cairo Pharaohs, 8-4, at Fitzies Stadium. Arun Virinchi went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The 28-year old right fielder was a menace to Cairo all day. The win belonged to Hwen-thiang Liang in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Mario Ghiberti took the loss for Cairo. Tokyo now sports a record of 58-43.

Ibadan, Nigeria-born Khaldun Kanja came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Fitzies trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Tokyo on top.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Virinchi.
