Blue Gills Come Back Late to Top Aztecs, 5-4
The Detroit Blue Gills overcame a good performance by Mexico City shortstop Miguel Ramos to knock off Mexico City, 5-4, at Ballpark of Mexico City. Ramos went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Osman Sumbatashvili earned the save for Detroit, his 13th. The Blue Gills go to 26-78 with the win.

Detroit used the hitting of Asfour bin Nawfal to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blue Gills on top, 5-4. For the game, bin Nawfal had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
