Win Goes to Generals in Tight Contest
The Rome Generals did just enough to sneak past the Oslo Voyageurs, 6-5, at The Colosseum. Rome pitcher Preki Cvetkovic, in particular, had a standout performance. The win went to Baltasar Alua in relief, making him now 2-0. Hayato Tsuchida took the loss for Oslo. Roberto Lugo notched his 25th save of the season.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Cheng-ho Tieh came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Oslo pitcher Hayato Tsuchida, he hit a full count cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Rome on top, 6-5.

Rome manager Tx Horns was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.

The Generals now have a mark of 48-56.
