In the 11-2 Chicago win over Detroit, the impact of Boboy Gines was substantial. Gines, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in bases on balls with 22, was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Thomas Rolland picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. On the season, he is now 3-2. The Blue Gills had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Beefs going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the three-time All-Star Alfonso Alfaro came to the plate.
