The Daegu Monks topped the Karachi Falcons, 7-2, in Intercontinental Baseball League action at Monks Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Daegu pitcher Raúl Arce. Arce yielded 2 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 6-9. The 'W' lifts Daegu's record to 38-66.

The Monks got a big hit from third baseman Carlos Chávez. Facing Karachi pitcher Yoshinori Matsushita in the bottom of the sixth, Chávez pounded a run-scoring triple to center. His 5th triple of the season put the Monks ahead, 3-1.

Chávez told a Daegu Citizen reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
