In a low-scoring affair between the Tokyo Fitzies and the Daegu Monks, pitcher Izaac Kulovana was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tokyo right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Fitzies win. Picking up the save was Britt Leonard, his 33rd. With this game in the books, Tokyo is 60-46, Daegu 39-67.

Julian Weke had a big solo home run for the Fitzies in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Tokyo leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Dustin Sanders and punished it. The result was his 12th home run of the season, which put the Fitzies on top, 3-1.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Kulovana.
