Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Puerto Rico Coqui got the win.
Puerto Rico Coqui starter Ingo Krall hurled his team past the Santo Domingo Palmchats, 4-2. Ottavio Grassi, credited with the save, is now 3 for 5 in save opportunities.
The Coqui got a big at-bat from right fielder Kamasrama Shourov. For the game, Shourov was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Puerto Rico a 2-0 lead.
Shourov said his team "played with focus and determination."
The setback makes Santo Domingo 48-59.
