The Chicago Beefs converted a terrific effort from starter Yoshitoshi Murata into a win over the Mexico City Aztecs at Beefs Stadium. The Beefs won the game by a final score of 5-1. Murata, now 7-7, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 6, and allowing 1 run. The loss makes Mexico City 68-42.

Mexico City had runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the seventh. With two out, Zhao-ji Zheng came to bat, hoping to do some damage. Instead, he grounded out. The score remained 3-1, Chicago. The Aztecs saw their comeback bid fail.
