The Havana Dolphins topped the Sao Paulo Toucans, 2-1, in Americas Baseball League action at El Estadio Latinoamericano. The standout performance belonged to Havana pitcher and Heiloo, The Netherlands, native Rens Buizer. Kwan-yew Lei earned the save for Havana, his 22nd. With the win, Havana goes to 63-48, while the Toucans fall to 56-55.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Dolphins had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when third baseman Feliciano Bartoccini hit a 2-run single. The single came off Øivind Ulland and made the score 2-0, Dolphins. Bartoccini went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
