Abdul-Tawwab Talib did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cairo Pharaohs from being beaten, 7-5, to the Oslo Voyageurs at Pharaohs Ballpark. Talib went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The save was credited to Qian-fu Jiang, his 2nd. The first-place Voyageurs now sit at 65-47.

In the top of the fifth, Oslo second baseman Cal Givens had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Givens stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 5-1, Oslo. For the game, he went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.

"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Givens said in postgame remarks.
