Monks Earn Late 5-4 Win
The Daegu Monks had to overcome a big game from Beijing second baseman Serafim Bexiga to leave Monks Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Bexiga was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Husain bin Sariyah picked up the win in relief for Daegu, while Pat Jones took the loss. The win makes Daegu 13-25, nothing to write home about.

Daegu took a 5-4 lead on Raghib bin Wafeeq's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which bin Wafeeq hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Beijing pitcher Pat Jones visibly frustrated.

"We'll build on this win," said bin Wafeeq.
