Josh Bence powered the Melbourne Meteors to a win over the Daegu Monks. The final score was 5-3. The Melbourne left fielder, who finished 4th in the IBL in slugging percentage with .547 last year, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. The third-place Meteors go to 57-55.

Bence contributed in the bottom of the fourth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Melbourne get the win.
