Palmchats Come Back Late to Clip Blue Gills
The Santo Domingo Palmchats faced a tough opponent in Detroit pitcher Frederick Segala, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Detroit Ballpark by a final score of 3-2. Segala went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Kil-hyun Kim closed out the game, earning his 23rd save. The Palmchats move to 50-63 with the win, while the Blue Gills drop to 30-83.

Santo Domingo used the timely hitting of Steve Foster to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Palmchats on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Palmchats manager Huck L. Berry.
