Pharaohs Deal Voyageurs Painful Loss
The Oslo Voyageurs got a superb performance from pitcher Arief Subagja, but the Cairo Pharaohs still won the game, 4-3. Subagja threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Mario Ghiberti picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-5. Khaled Hakim suffered the loss. With the win, the Pharaohs have a record of 56-57.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 25-year old first baseman Abhirama Sreedharan had a chance to be the hero. Oslo pitcher Timofei Wajoroff wanted to foil that plan. But with no outs, Sreedharan hit a sacrifice fly. The Pharaohs had themselves a thrilling win.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Sreedharan told reporters after the game.
