The Los Angeles Stars beat the El Paso Thunderbirds, 4-0. Los Angeles pitcher and Mitry-Mory, France, native Damien Duval led the way. The Stars, now 19-20, have won 5 in a row.

The Stars got a big at-bat from shortstop Brian Hurt. For the game, Hurt went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Los Angeles a 2-0 lead.
