Beefs Saddle Stars with 6-3 Loss
|
Field of the Stars was the site for Americas Baseball League action featuring the Los Angeles Stars and Chicago Beefs.
The Chicago Beefs downed the Los Angeles Stars, 6-3, at Field of the Stars. Gebre Batrawi led the way, going 2-for-5 for Chicago. Kigeri Muroki got the win, improving to 7-3. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 1. Earning his 4th save of the year was Guido Spano.
In the first inning, Batrawi had a 3-run home run for Chicago. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Beefs on top, 3-0.
Batrawi said afterward that the win gets the team one step closer to its goal.
The Beefs raised their record to 69-45.
