The Puerto Rico Coqui racked up a win at Toucans Ballpark, bumping off the Sao Paulo Toucans, 4-2. Wendel Lippelt, who started for Puerto Rico, pitched effectively for his team. Amadeu Feyst picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Takuji Mochizuki suffered the loss. The triumph puts Puerto Rico at 61-53 for the season.

Samir bin Umar came through with a big-time hit for Puerto Rico. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
