The Havana Dolphins took Sao Paulo pitcher Alfonso Vásquez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Toucans Ballpark. The final score had Havana getting past the Toucans, 3-1. Vásquez went 7 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 6. The loss makes Sao Paulo 61-57.

Havana took a 3-1 lead on Shafiq Joyo's 21st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Joyo hit in the top of the 13th, left Sao Paulo pitcher Ramachandra Ghandi visibly frustrated.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Sao Paulo manager Casey Blake DeWitt.
