Cardenas Leads Fitzies to Win
Alonso Cardenas drove in 3 runs to help Tokyo hand Beijing a loss. The final score was 10-6. Cardenas had 3 singles and 1 triple for the Fitzies. He also scored 2 runs. Izaac Kulovana, who finished 5th in the IBL in ERA with 3.23 last year, was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 2 strikeouts. In the top of the seventh, the Fitzies grabbed the lead when Cardenas hit his 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple off David Cash made it 5-4, Tokyo.
