Brouard Torches Meteors for 5 Hits
Ewan Brouard was at the head of a Black Forest hit parade at Meteor Crater. The third baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Foxes to a nice 15-6 victory over the Melbourne Meteors.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Brouard told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Meteors skipper Bob Meteors said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Ewan Brouard singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run triple in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

Currently Brouard is hitting .331 and has collected 5 home runs, 30 RBIs and scored 16 times, while playing in 39 games.
