Multi-HR Day for Joyo as Dolphins Overpower Jaguars, 7-4
|
The Havana Dolphins and Rio de Janeiro Jaguars completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Havana Dolphins downed the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars, 7-4. The hitting star was left fielder Shafiq Joyo. Joyo slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Dolphins. With the win, Havana upped its record to 69-53.
In the bottom of the sixth, Havana pinch hitter Feliciano Bartoccini gave his team the lead. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Bronco hit his 7th triple of the year. Rio de Janeiro pitcher Jhong-shun Lee surrendered it. With that, the Dolphins jumped in front, 5-4.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Bartoccini, "and then get after it again."
